Even though my current radio, the AnyTone AT-D878UV, doesn't have that limitation, I still keep the number of channels relatively short simply because if there are too many, I find it a pain to scroll through them. My first DMR radios were limited to 16 channels per zone. I try to keep the number of channels in each zone reasonably small. But what to do, at this time there's no choice except to use the CPS that's available for your radio, even if it's a bit clunky. All of them have different approaches, while sharing one trait: they all seem a bit half-baked.
